I am sure most people know what “soon” means, but I am afraid that the marketing people at Nokia and Sony Ericsson do not.
Both Sony Ericsson and Nokia announce new models at least once each year at Cebit. Shortly after, all the “new” models appear on the websites with the text “coming soon”. It is not uncommon that it takes a full six months before the models are actually available. That is half the time between announcements, and although I believe people have different perceptions on how soon soon is, I doubt anyone is this forgiving.
Most phone manufacturers have a lot to learn about setting the right expectations and keeping promises.
