I am attending this years Siggraph in San Diego in the beginning of August. It feels like ages since I last attended Siggraph in Los Angeles in 2005. I am especially looking forward to the papers, panels, emerging technologies and the exhibitions.

Maya 8.5 is available

It was recently announced that Maya 8.5 has been released as a universal binary with great new dynamic features by Jos Stam.
I am glad it appears that it was not right to doubt Autodesk’s commitment to Maya and the Macintosh.

Maya users have been quite nervous about the package’s future since Autodesk acquired Alias last year. Maya 8 has now been released at the Autodesk Siggraph User Group Event as expected, but the release did not meet the users’ expectations.
